Workshop description:Learn the art of decoupage and how to transform everyday objects into beautiful, decorative and usable pieces. Using paper and other mixed media materials on glass, wood and paper mache, you will have 3 beautiful pieces to take home at the end of the day. Deborah will teach you the decoupage techniques she has developed and honed over the years, along with many tips and tricks. This workshop is for those with or without experience in decoupage.
Materials:
All Supplies & Materials for projects will be provided:
-glass vase, paper mache box and small wood house to decoupage
- variety of adhesives
-tools and brushes
-napkins, tissue and papers to decoupage with
- embellishments to finish your project, including ribbons, trims, buttons and paint
You are welcome to bring your own materials:
Most paper, tissue paper, wrapping paper or printed napkins will work. (Thick or heavy paper isn’t good for the projects we’ll be working on.)
Embellishments to add to your base: fabric scraps, beads, charms, small silk, paper or dried flowers, ribbon, trims, buttons, small animals, old jewelry pieces… just use your imagination!$135
Artist Bio:
Deborah Zionts is a mixed-media artist and life-long creative living in Chapel Hill. Always putting her own spin on the many mediums she works in, her colorful, signature pieces express happiness and joy. She teaches workshops, sells her work by commission and at art fairs and has shown her work in juried gallery shows. When not creating, you will find her in her house in the woods, organizing her art supplies, trying to find sun to grow vegetables, or playing with her dogs.
