Learn how to make a mixed media mosaic masterpiece in Debra Mager’s Mosaic Florals signature mosaic workshop.

Mosaic Florals are made from a combination of glass mosaic backdrops and vases with found objects that substitute for flowers. Debra will teach you how to cut stained glass, what types of adhesives to use for each application and all about specialized mosaic tools.

Debra will instruct you on how to prepare and assemble your treasures for mounting. Since the arrangement won’t be grouted, you can use materials of all kinds including metal, shells, pearls, fabric, you name it! Debra has incorporated buttons, knobs, shower rings, even coasters! All mosaic work will be done in a ready-made frame of your choice. By the time you leave this class, you will go home with a magnificent mixed media mosaic completely unique to you.

SUPPLIES & MATERIALS PROVIDED

• scrap glass (bring your own if you have a specific color in mind)

• mosaic tools

• adhesives

• grout

• filler baubles, beads, broken jewelry

• glass cutting tools

• wire cutters

• mixed media items for sale

WHAT YOU BRING

• a frame you love with the glass intact (no larger than 11×13 in order to finish in the two days)
  or two smaller frames (5×7 or 4×6)

• items to make your bouquet or alternate design (jewelry, beads, earrings, plastic, shells, wood, pearls, metal, rhinestones etc.)
